The metropolitan enterprise "Spetskabel" has created a line of signal cables intended for crowded places. The shell of the product does not contain harmful substances, and during combustion it does not emit poisonous gases and does not lead to equipment failure. This was announced on November 7, 2023 by the Minister of the Government of Moscow, Head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy Vladislav Ovchinsky.

The product is intended for alarm, access control, automation, voice and light warning systems. It transmits analog or digital signals between devices and can be used for installation during the construction of schools, clinics, shopping centers and other facilities.

In Moscow, about 20 enterprises produce cable and conductor products, which are in demand in many industries. Companies are increasing production volumes, as well as launching new products on the market, including highly specialized ones. For example, the engineers of the Moscow plant created a cable, the shell of which, when ignited, does not emit poisonous gases and does not disable the connected equipment. The product is intended for laying and installation in crowded places. The cable sheath and insulation are made of domestic polymers, which are not inferior in properties and quality to imported analogues. The company has already produced over 100 kilometers of cable, - said Vladislav Ovchinsky.

The product passed all the necessary certification tests. The relevant conclusions were obtained for launching into mass production.

For a long time, cables for alarm systems, access control, automation, voice and light warning were made of PVC plastic. When burned, they emit smoke in high concentrations, gas and toxic substances, which made it difficult to evacuate people, and when interacting with water, they could destroy nearby structures and equipment. Products made of halogen-free polymer materials are not only safe and reliable, but also have improved electrical parameters, have a longer service life and can be operated when exposed to the sun and high humidity, - said Roman Kuznetsov, head of the development department, chief designer of the enterprise.
