On March 13, 2024, Softline Group of Companies (PJSC Softline), a provider of solutions and services in the field of digital transformation and information security, developing a comprehensive portfolio of its own products and services, announced that it had helped the Petro Velt Technologies group of companies (PeWeTe) switch to the VKurce cloud video conferencing system (IVA Technologies), combining 5 industrial sites in Russia into a single communication network. More than 1000 distributed employees of the company were connected to the platform to organize corporate communications and work together remotely.

According to the company, PeWeTe is one of the independent suppliers of oil field services in Russia. A company of this scale with an extensive site system requires reliable tools for organizing work processes, solving economic, production and logistics issues.

Previously, PeWeTe used the solution of a foreign vendor, but the license was coming to an end. To ensure fault tolerance of the infrastructure, the company decided to switch to the Russian VKS system and turned to the task of migration to the specialists of Softline Group of Companies.

The main requirements for the creation of a communication network at the enterprise were the possibility of holding regular meetings and the availability of a set of tools necessary for joint work on projects: demonstration of developments, prompt decision-making, training of employees, etc. In addition, employees needed the ability to transparently authorize SSO and authorize using the corporate LDAP protocol, which allows them to log in through transparent authentication and quickly connect users to the corporate network of the PVT Group of Companies.

Based on the requirements, the Softline Group of Companies team made testing decisions and offered the company the VKurse system from. IVA Technologies The vendor provided favorable conditions for the transition, as a result of which PeWeTe stopped choosing on this platform.

Since the validity of the license to operate the previous solution was coming to an end, the migration had to be carried out in a short time. After the conclusion of the contract, the Softline team immediately began to transfer company employees to an updated system. Platform connection was organized in 1 day, configuration and software configuration - in 5. As a result, more than 1000 employees of the company were connected to VKursa during the week, while 5 industrial sites were combined into a single communication network.

As of March 2024, the solution has been in operation for more than a month. VKurse video communication is used to coordinate and quickly resolve work issues by heads of various levels, employees of engineering departments and accounting, specialists of IT departments, as well as representatives of counterparties who need to take part in video conferencing.

The integrated corporate messenger IVA Connect is also used in everyday work. With its help, a communication system was built in group and personal chats, the ability to synchronize and full cross-platform on all user devices is provided. During the VKS sessions, participants have access to collaboration tools - file sharing, meeting recording, demonstration of presentation files and the work screen, as well as much more.

Since PeWeTe units are located in different regions of Russia, for us the video conferencing system is an integral communication tool. We are grateful to the teams of Softline Group of companies and Vkurse for the work done. The timing of the project was compressed, but specialists quickly transferred employees to an updated cloud platform.
