Unified Register of Hardware and Software for Electric Power Industry

.

2024: Work to create a registry

In mid-July 2024, it became known about the decision of Rosseti to create a unified register of hardware and software for the electric power industry in Russia. This initiative is aimed at improving efficiency and coordination in the field of digital transformation of the country's energy sector.

The need to create such a register was voiced by Konstantin Kravchenko, Deputy General Director for Digital Transformation of PJSC Rosseti in Nizhny Novgorod. He stressed the importance of indicating the compatibility of solutions in the registry, especially in the field of industrial automation.

Rosseti creates a single register of software and hardware

The creation of a single register is one of the key steps within the framework of the activities of the Industrial Competence Center (ICC) "Electric Power," headed by the General Director of Rosseti Andrei Ryumin Andrei Ryumin. The Industrial Competence Center implements eight priority projects aimed at developing integration solutions, billing systems, predictive analytics and industrial asset management.

The main problem that exists in the industry is the lack of a unified understanding of the target IT landscape, its maturity and "white spots." This leads to the fact that market participants often create and implement products with the same type of functionality in parallel, which prevents the achievement of a synergistic effect.

In addition to creating a register, Kravchenko noted the need to strengthen intersectoral interaction and replicate best practices. As an example of such cooperation, he cited a memorandum signed in 2024 between PJSC Rosseti and Zyfra Group of Companies on joint work on the creation of cross-industry platforms and products for the digital transformation of the fuel and energy complex and housing and communal services.[1]
