2024: Gloria Jeans CEO takes ownership of 73.57% of Wikium
Maxim Basov, CEO of Gloria Jeans, increased his stake in Vikium LLC to 73.57% in December 2024. The expansion of participation occurred after the redemption of shares from former top managers of the company and the acquisition of an additional issue of shares.
According to RB.RU, technical director Pavel Kolzhikov and general director Denis Lagutinsky sold their shares by 1.6% in October 2024. The remaining part of the company - 26.43% - belongs to the co-founder of the EdTech project Sergey Belan. On November 29, both majority shareholders also acquired an additional issue in proportion to their shares, increasing the authorized capital by ₽3 thousand to ₽949,6 thousand.
Managing Partner of Sk Capital Stanislav Kolesnichenko notes the growing interest of users in the development of cognitive abilities, although such projects remain a niche segment of the EdTech market. In his opinion, the success of such projects is possible only with a large user base.
Wikium's revenue in 2023 decreased by 22%, and net loss amounted to ₽5,7 million. For comparison, in 2020 the company demonstrated revenue of ₽171 million and net profit of ₽5 million. In 2021, the company was valued at $15 million, when Basov first acquired 62.82% of LLC Ruckard"" and 3% of Belan.
Economist, former vice president of Otkritie Bank Konstantin Tserazov emphasizes the importance of the presence of banks among Vikium clients. Among the users of the service are Sovcombank, CreditEuropeBank and Moscow Exchange.
Former top managers of Vikium founded their own project on October 15, 2024 - Quintessence Ru LLC, which specializes in software development. Kolzhikov and Lagutinsky first received shares in Vikium in August 2022 after the withdrawal from the capital of co-founder Artem Ovechkin.
