The federal budget subsidy program is designed to increase the availability of specialized software for small and medium-sized enterprises operating in the engineering and industrial design industry, significantly (up to 60%) reducing the cost of its purchase.

According to the general director of CSoft Ilya Lebedev, in 2016, more than 40 customers of the company who purchased software in the amount of 50 thousand to 10 million rubles used the subsidy, which indicates the demand for the program of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

2014: SeaSoft breaks partnership with Autodesk

On April 2, 2014, SeaSoft announced that it had unilaterally terminated its partnership with Autodesk. This happened after more than 10 years of cooperation, during which SiSoft, according to company representatives, annually received the highest marks from both the corporation itself and customers.

SiSoft was the only Russian partner of Autodesk to be awarded the highest platinum status. Its staff employs more than 50 specialists with expert knowledge on various solutions of this vendor.

Speaking about the reasons for the gap, SiSoft notes that the highest priority for their company is the interests of customers. At the same time, "the activities and requirements of the Moscow office of Autodesk in the implementation of our projects over the past two years have shown that their interests are incompatible with our principles of doing business," the company says.

"The professional level of the employees of the Moscow office of Autodesk, their understanding of the needs of customers and partners, the development of software (often without taking into account the interests of the Russian user), lobbying for purchases of heavier and more expensive software systems by methods that are more reminiscent of economic blackmail, prompted SiSoft to decide to terminate partnerships with Autodesk," says Executive and Commercial Director of SiSoft Andrei Seravkin.
Andrey Seravkin, Executive and Commercial Director of SeaSoft

In "SeaSoft" explained TAdviser that recently it has become more difficult to receive economic benefits from partnership with Autodesk: the corporation began to actively promote complex expensive solutions, and therefore increased the requirements for their share in partner sales to receive the latter motivational package. At the same time, such solutions often turn out to be unprofitable for the customers themselves, they add to SiSoft.

Andrei Seravkin cited TAdviser data that the share of Autodesk solutions in the total revenue of SiSoft was about 12%. Among other vendors with a fairly significant share in sales of SeaSoft, he named CSoft Development, whose solutions account for about 15% of the turnover, and Intergraph - about 5%.

After the discontinuation of Autodesk products, SiSoft plans to retain specialists in this area in the company, develop their skills and competencies, and continue to provide consulting and implementation services for Autodesk software at customer enterprises. It is also planned to offer the market new services related to Autodesk solutions.

For the first time, SiSoft believes that such a significant professional resource appears on the market, independent of the vendor's interests and capable of conducting independent audits, expertise of IT projects and customer needs. According to Andrei Seravkin, since his company no longer supplies Autodesk "boxed solutions," the degree of confidence in the results of SiSoft's work on the part of customers will only grow.

The Russian representative office of Autodesk, at the request of TAdviser, to comment on the termination of partnerships with SiSoft, said that since April 2014 their corporation has been transforming its partnership policy aimed at developing business in the region. This transformation involves increasing the requirements for resellers according to a number of criteria, the company says.
