2024: Implementation of a trusted services platform for managing electronic signatures and cryptographic security

ITFB has developed a trusted services platform for Greenatom to manage electronic signatures and cryptographic security. ITFB announced this on April 18, 2025.

The ITFB team was tasked with developing a single platform of trusted services (PDS) capable of not only issuing certificates of all types, but also automating their circulation, as well as ensuring seamless integration with corporate and state information systems.

The project was implemented within seven months. As a technological foundation, solutions were chosen with an emphasis on compliance with certification requirements: Astra Linux, certified by PostgreSQL Pro, a GOST-based cryptography stack, as well as integration with CryptoPro DSS, CA, CSP and jCSP.

Functionally, PDS provides centralized issuance, accounting and circulation of certificates of all types, including automatic renewal as part of a subscription to the service. The platform is integrated with the personnel systems of the State Corporation and interacts with state IPs through, SMEV including support. UIAS The key focus has been on RESTs, API which allow enterprise systems to use electronic signature features without the need for deep immersion in cryptographic protocols.

One of the main engineering challenges was the integration with CryptoPro and the optimization of operating parameters adapted to a highly loaded and geodistributed architecture. RabbitMQ was used to ensure disaster tolerance and synchronous execution of business processes at different nodes of the system.

Particular attention was paid to the formalization of business logic, often based on a regulatory framework with discrepancies - for example, when interacting with the ESIA or in the interpretation of the rules for publishing certificates. In a dialogue with the customer, these provisions were clarified and formed the basis for a stable system architecture.

PDS has become a critical platform for digital trust in the industry. More than 100 thousand users received UNEP certificates with the possibility of remote extension - without the need for a personal visit to the certification center. Working with the system is reduced to one action instead of five steps, and signing more than 2 million documents annually has become possible in a fully digital format.

The platform made it possible to implement in Rosatom"," personnel legally significant electronic document flow integrate the showcases of tax monitoring data FTS with and use electronic signatures in corporate and - stateIT systems. Over 15 thousand are under the control of PDS, and the CIPF number of simultaneously working users exceeds 20 thousand.

According to the customer's estimates, the labor costs of security administrators and CA operators for paper processes decreased by 85%. Reducing costs affected not only document management resources, but also equipment, logistics and administrative personnel.

The development of the platform continues: the plans include integration with the Unified Biometric System, the State Department and other federal digital identification services.

Thanks to the implementation of the Trusted Services Platform in the nuclear industry, it became possible to personnel legally significant electronic document flow, it became possible to safely work with electronic signatures in other corporate information systems. We have freed our developers from the need to interact with CryptoPro directly, and now all processes - from filing an application to issuing a certificate - take place in one click, "said Sergey Chernyshev, head of the cryptographic information protection and digital trust department of Greenatom JSC.
