Employees influence their income themselves
Timur Makhalin, the head of the client service department, OMK acted not only as the moderator of the section, but also as a speaker. In his speech, he presented the corporate digital platform "My Capabilities," which combines many services and data.

The growth of employees interested in additional earnings was 11% (more than 15,000 applications in the first half of 2025). And the cost of hiring temporary workers decreased by 10%.
In addition, the service informs about important events and events. There is also a news feed in the form of a smart dashboard, which personalizes the news for each employee. The company's management expects the innovation to increase the NPS of workers, as well as their level of confidence in digital solutions, and reduce the timing of production orders.

The solution was an application called the "CEO Control Panel." A simple unified interface combines many services and various data. "Traffic light" on the start page is a visual display of the full picture of all business units of the group of companies.

The forecast production indicators are demonstrated in different time ranges: from the cumulative total for the period from the beginning of the month to the forecast for the entire month. The shipping indicator has different groupings and allows you to track not only the pieces, but also the amount of revenue with sales margins. The margin data was not originally planned to be displayed, but the top management insisted, so the functionality was promptly implemented.
Personnel are analyzed in shifts in terms of production areas and positions, and the relevant data is always available to management. The availability of materials can be detailed to the finished product, for the release of which a particular material is required.
Recently, data on industrial marriage was added to the application. You can drill this key figure down to a rejected part or component item. It is important that when the indicators leave the permissible boundaries, the responsible person receives a task, answering which, he can leave a comment "soothing top management" or, conversely, requiring management intervention.

The performance of work at the enterprise required control both during their implementation and after completion. A narrow qualification and, as a result, a large number of inspectors interfered. Together with the lack of a single database and difficulties in communication, all this led to duplication and errors.
As a solution to this situation, a centralized system "Independent Work Control" was developed and implemented. Finished products were also considered here, but in the end it was decided to develop the necessary software from scratch on its own. Now all participants in the process work in a single centralized system. It is accessed through a mobile and web application. A complete picture of the performance of work at all stages of control has become available: from the request to the elimination of comments.
As a result, the effectiveness of the work of inspectors has increased and the likelihood of technical errors has decreased. Also, automatic sending of notifications to process participants is organized and interactions between them are automated. It became possible to quickly search for information to control the elimination of comments and to take measures to study and prevent negative situations.
Digital shadow of the enterprise
Alexander Nikitin, head of the digital doubles department, NefteTransService, shared details of how the digital twin can benefit enterprises. And he did this on the example of a specific case. For example, the digital twin of the port terminal made it possible to increase "average daily transshipment volumes and revenue by 4%" by optimizing shift-daily planning. Potential to increase contract volumes by 10% was also identified. And the digital twin of the car repair plant helped to draw up a project for the reconstruction of workshops with an accurate estimate of the effect, as well as develop tools for determining the optimal number of personnel and checking the fulfillment of the plan with the identification of factors that impede its implementation.
The digital twin of the coal quarry made it possible to develop a tool for accurately predicting "the volume of excavation extraction with an error of only 3%," explains Alexander Nikitin. Within the framework of the project, the effect of a large-scale capacity expansion project was assessed, the optimal number of dump trucks and excavators used was determined. And the optimization of parts inventory management has reduced downtime and costs associated with emergency purchases.

Dmitry Moskvin, head of the IT department at Shchelkovo Agrokhim, built his concise report on video materials from production. The next project presented is a digital twin of the enterprise. The positive aspects of digital twins, according to the speaker, are the possibility of training and developing personnel, improving monitoring and forecasting, as well as supporting decision-making.
As an illustration of these theses, Dmitry Moskvin demonstrated another short video, where there was a view from virtual reality glasses to a digital copy of the workshop from the inside. That's what learning employees see. According to the speaker, the project was implemented by three people: the head (Dmitry Moskvin himself), the photographer and the programmer. And the key factor in success was the desire to implement the project.
Artificial intelligence is a natural choice
Oleg Bondarenko, head of the digital laboratory Atomstroyexport"," addressed the topic AI and shared several successful cases using this technology. The first of them concerned the monitoring of cars transport with control of fuel consumption. To implement the project, a closed corporate network was deployed, and the fleet was equipped with a set of different sensors.
The satellite monitoring system and control of transport routes using AI made it possible to eliminate mileage cheating and reduce the cost of vehicle depreciation by an average of 25%. Analysis of "drains" (deviations of increased fuel consumption) using AI reduced the loads of dispatchers and security personnel to investigate incidents by 95%. Fuel costs decreased by 30%. The measurement error was less than 1%.
Digital control of personnel using computer vision and video analytics provides comprehensive information about the use of PPE, various violations, as well as the movements and actions of people with the possibility of their identification.
Another project on the use of AI is related to monitoring the quality of welded joints. The digitalization of the procedure allows you to reduce the burden on laboratory personnel, reduce the time for the formation of the conclusion and reduce the influence of the human factor in the conclusions on the quality of the welded joint.

Ivan Kazarin, head of Data Science Operations at RUSAL, stated that recent years have become difficult for metallurgy. The answer to the challenges can be AI, which will increase the productivity of the most popular units and production units, optimize logistics, procurement and other corporate functions, and also give control over the quality of raw materials and finished products.
Monitoring the operation of equipment and predicting failures, increasing the efficiency of technological processes and reducing production costs together with compliance with labor safety requirements and increasing environmental friendliness of production can also be entrusted with AI. "To avoid the failure of such projects, it must be taken into account that the necessary condition for the development of AI products is the digitalization of production processes and the organization of systematic data collection and storage," the speaker recalled.
At metallurgical enterprises, data is collected from various sources. In particular, sources can be operating lines and production facilities, control information systems, cameras and video surveillance systems. The results of laboratory tests are also taken into account.
A systematic approach is also important in determining the composition of the team that will implement and implement AI products. When preparing product owners in production units, it is worth forming teams from among experts in the field of technological processes of production units and organizing the development by experts in the field of digitalization and data management.
Thanks to this, the generation of ideas for AI projects will go through the formulation of the most pressing tasks for production units and by ensuring the connection between production practice and the development of AI products. And the implementation of the Data Science Operations (DSO) division through the formation of a separate direction in the IT structure of the enterprise, responsible for managing business processes, technical solutions and services related to the Data Science team and products, will improve the performance of the team, as well as the AI products developed, implemented and supported by this team. DSO will give a systemic improvement in the quality of AI products.
