Operators
At the beginning of 2020, the leader in the cellular communication market in Uzbekistan is Unitel (Beeline trademark), which, together with the Russian VimpelCom, is part of the Veon group. Unitel serves 8.1 million subscribers.
Coscom, the brand name of Ucell, is Uzbekistan's second largest cellular operator. According to Analysys Mason, at the end of 2019, it served 7.1 million subscribers.
In third place is Uzmobile, a subsidiary of the state-owned main fixed-line operator Uzbectelecom. The company serves 4.8 million subscribers.
In fourth place is UMS (Universal Mobile Systems), which serves 3 million subscribers. UMS was created by the Russian company Mobile Telesystems (MTS) together with local authorities, but in 2016 MTS withdrew from the project.

A network of 5.5G was launched in Uzbekistan

2016:90% of the population of Uzbekistan will have access to cellular communications until 2019
In Uzbekistan, by 2019, 90% of the population of the republic will be provided with mobile communications, at the beginning of this year this figure was 60-70%.
Until 2019, it is planned to implement 150 projects worth $9.8 billion in Uzbekistan. Among the priority projects is the expansion of cellular networks and the expansion of fiber-optic infrastructure. The mobile coverage rate will reach 90% by 2019 (as of January 2016, the indicator was estimated at 60-70%). The total length of the fiber-optic communication line (FOCL) in the republic will increase to 28.5 thousand km (1.7 times). Such data were announced by the Ministry of Economy of Uzbekistan[1].
As part of the development of the allocated funds, projects will also be implemented in the engineering, communication and road transport infrastructure of the country.
