2024: Construction of a data center in China

2022: Transparency centers opened in Japan, Singapore and the United States

In June 2022, Kaspersky Lab announced the opening of three new transparency centers - in Japan, Singapore and the United States - as part of its Global Transparency Initiative. Opening a transparency centre in Malaysia

Creating antiviruses for the Vietnamese authorities

On August 7, 2019, it became known about the involvement of Kaspersky Lab in the creation of antivirus software for the Vietnamese authorities. The Russian company concluded the corresponding contract with one of the local government structures responsible for information security, the Ministry of Communications of the Russian Federation said in a statement.

The terms of the agreement assume that the Vietnamese partner will gain access to the antivirus database and the main software components of Kaspersky Lab. The joint solution will be built on the basis of the most modern technologies for protecting against computer threats in compliance with the requirements of Vietnamese legislation for data collection and processing. It is planned that the first few thousand users from among the employees of state organizations will begin to use a joint solution in 2019.

Kaspersky Lab will create antiviruses for the Vietnamese authorities

The order received by Kaspersky Lab was the result of the implementation of the decisions of the 21st meeting of the Russian-Vietnamese intergovernmental commission chaired by Deputy Prime Ministers of the two countries Maxim Akimov and Chin Dinh Zung, which took place in Moscow in October 2018, and a lot of expert work coordinated by the Ministry of Communications.

In Vietnam, Kaspersky Lab also trains information security specialists, and in May entered into an agreement with the local telecommunications company Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group.

By early August 2019, the Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications, together with the Office of the Vietnamese Government, is preparing road maps for the creation of an electronic government system and a National Center cyber security (SOC) in Vietnam. In addition, the implementation of the pilot project as part of the creation of the SOC and four pilot projects for the deployment of separate elements of the "smart city" in Hanoi has been agreed[4]
