2023: Mishustin approved Siberia's development strategy until 2035
Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree approving a plan for the implementation of a strategy for the socio-economic development of the Siberian Federal District until 2035. The corresponding document was published on October 23, 2023.
According to the press service of the Cabinet, the strategy includes over 150 events grouped within several areas. Their implementation, according to the authors of the document, will create conditions for the economic development of the regions and the emergence of new jobs, which in turn will make it possible to increase the standard of living of people.
Thus, the measures of the direction "Improving the quality of life" involve the development and implementation of plans for the development of sanitary aviation, the construction, reconstruction and equipment of healthcare facilities, for the resettlement of citizens from emergency housing and the modernization of housing and communal facilities, as well as the creation of ecotechnoparks, the elimination of landfills and the reduction of harmful emissions.
The direction "Development of Science and Human Resources" formations implies the introduction of educational campuses in Tomsk and, Novosibirsk as well as the development of campus projects in Gorno-Altaysk and Irkutsk Kemerovo. In addition, in the science city of Koltsovo, Novosibirsk Region, it is planned to launch a scientific installation of the megasayens class - the Siberian Ring Photon Source synchrotron.
Within the framework of the "Infrastructure Development" direction, it is planned to modernize airports in Gorno-Altaysk, Krasnoyarsk, Bratsk, Kemerovo, Novokuznetsk, Novosibirsk and other cities. The plan also spelled out measures for the construction and reconstruction of roads, the renewal of border checkpoints, the construction of railways and logistics centers.
Another area - "Cluster Development" - will attract private investment in the regional economy.
