2025: Creating an Alliance

An alliance of developers in the field of monitoring has appeared in Russia.

The initiators of the creation of the professional community were Russian vendors MONQ Digital lab, VolgaBlob (developer of the Smart Monitor product), GMonit, NTC Wellink, Metrological Systems and Laboratory Numerator. The purpose of the association is to create an open platform for the exchange of expertise, joint development of solutions, as well as increasing the attractiveness of domestic products for large companies and their export potential. The company was informed about this on March 25, 2025.

The alliance was created in response to the growing demand from domestic companies and government corporations for comprehensive solutions for monitoring, analyzing and automating processes. With the departure of major international vendors from the country, such as IBM, Splunk, Micro Focus, Broadcom, SolarWinds, Honeywell and others, Russian business faced a shortage of ecosystem products capable of solving problems in the field of managing IT infrastructure, technological and business processes, network and physical security.

Thanks to the unification of efforts on the part of the alliance members, a stack of non-import-dependent products will become available to domestic business. They fully cover tasks related to monitoring security, IT infrastructure, including analysis of applications and IT services, data processing and business process control. And their suppliers are ready to provide consulting and support services.

The professional community is designed as an open platform for the free exchange of knowledge, experience and best practices for analyzing and benefiting from data, monitoring and automating processes. In addition, the alliance members plan to jointly increase the reputation of Russian software among large customers and their export attractiveness.

The community is open to other players in the Russian IT market. Among its key principles are voluntary participation, maintaining the independence of solutions and integration only through open APIs, as well as the lack of strict obligations between companies, especially regarding the disclosure of technological secrets and know-how.

Many consider Open source solutions of Western companies as an alternative to departed vendors, spend millions of rubles on one-time developments. They are useless for the market, do not develop it and do not increase the potential of our industry in the global market. Let's show that Russian vendors can provide comprehensive solutions that completely cover the needs of the most demanding customers, - said Nikolai Ganyushkin, one of the initiators of the creation of the community and the founder of MONQ Digital lab.

The Russian engineering school for March 2025 resembles Ancient Greece: as a single community, it does not exist, but there is a set of policy cities with their own culture, history, principles and methods of management. For a long time we existed in information bubbles, cooked in our broth. This fragmentation does not make it possible to develop, to grow professionally. Engineering school is dialogue, professional discourse. Now we have the opportunity to look at ourselves with different eyes and at least just talk to the same professionals. We hope that this dialogue will lead to the emergence of a new culture and will allow us to reach the peaks corresponding to the high importance of the Russian engineering school, "said Igor Baklanov, founder of the Wellink Scientific and Technical Center (wiSLA).

Professional communities united by a common vector of technological product development are a bold and timely undertaking. Organized dialogue and coordination of efforts to create high-quality domestic solutions will benefit not only us, as manufacturers, but also our clients, - said Alexander Skakunov, one of the initiators of the creation of the community and CEO of VolgaBlob.

As of March 2025, I observe the situation that most of our customers have absolutely no idea what is happening in the market of domestic monitoring solutions. The lack of market awareness about the availability of quite working and cool domestic products often leads to a waste of resources and time. I hope our association will help customers better navigate commercial monitoring solutions, and their feedback will influence product development trends, which will definitely increase their functionality and usefulness, "said Alexey Hakobyan, an expert on monitoring systems and one of the initiators of community creation.

The creation of a professional community is an important step for the formation of a mature and competitive monitoring and automation market in Russia. After the departure of major international vendors, many companies faced fragmentation of narrowly focused solutions and a lack of clear understanding of how to build processes. This not only increases costs, but also reduces the operational efficiency of the business. The community will allow us to combine expertise, standardize best practices and, no less important, increase awareness of the possibilities of Russian developments in the field of monitoring. This will give customers confidence in the choice of domestic solutions and strengthen confidence in their quality and reliability, - added Igor Pustovetov, CEO of GMonit.
