2022: Attraction of 2 million, including from Grishin Robotics
On March 14, 2022, game technology developer Arctic7 announced the attraction of $2 million in investments. The funding round was led by the venture capital company Grishin Robotics, several business angels also took part in it. The estimated value of the startup based on the investment results is not disclosed.
According to Arctic7, this is the first investment for the company, and they exceeded the expectations of the founders. The funds received will give the startup a launch pad for realizing ambitions, creating high-quality games and approving the company as a first-class developer, the company said in a statement.
Efremov and Rizzo were co-founders of Sperasoft, both previously worked at Electronic Arts. Efremov headed Sperasoft as president and CEO until the sale of Keywords in 2017, and after the acquisition remained as chief commercial officer of Keywords.
Mark, Alan and I have long shared the vision of building a company based on our personal beliefs and ambitions. With Arctic7, we can look forward to identifying the capabilities of the gaming industry and using them, and we are incredibly grateful that our investors have decided to take part in the upcoming journey. Our team conducts a full cycle of transactions: from finding investment opportunities and evaluating to negotiating and signing contracts, "said Igor Efremov, co-founder of Arctic7. |
Representatives of Arctic7 told the GamesIndustry gaming industry that the company has already concluded a couple of development deals, one of which concerns a large-scale full-game project with an international publisher. Arctic7 is negotiating the addition of work, and is also actively considering mergers and acquisitions in order to attract additional funding.[1]
