History
2021: Attracting $1.7 million in investments, including from Grishin Robotics
In mid-June 2021, EdTech platform Kadama raised $1.7 million. The investment round was led by Dmitry Grey's Grishin Robotics fund. Representatives of Alliance of Angels and other company executives also took part in the round. The funds will be used to stimulate the growth of the Kadama product due to gamification, short content and other features of the startup (weekly quizzes, game tournaments, etc.).
During the pandemic, student use of social media increased dramatically, so Kadama began to create a platform filled with interactive experiences and communities that would meet the dynamic interests of Generation Z.
I saw a lot of videos go viral, and I decided to try. I posted the video, and a few hours later it went viral. I posted another video. It also went viral. It became clear that if we create a cool, exciting and recognizable brand associated with training, we can become the largest educational community in social networks, "said Kadama CEO Amin Shaikho. |
The success of Kadama attracted many investors who noted that they had "long awaited an explosive marketing strategy through social networks" for representatives of Generation Z.
For several months, Kadama has collected half a billion views on TikTok and Instagram, creating viral videos, such as eating raw onions during an exchange of school advice.
We're excited to be working with Amin, Marvan and Dani. The past year has shown that existing models of education are outdated. Kadama entered where Generation Z students are already spending their time: on their phones, in TikTok and on social networks. Students are given the opportunity to use Kadama then and where they believe that they need it, instead of relying on lessons conducted by a teacher or parents, "said Grishin Robotics founder and managing partner Dmitry Grishin, who joins the Kadama board.[1][2] |
