2025: Establishing a Company
The network of multidisciplinary clinics "Clinic Fomina" has created a joint venture with shareholders of Positive Technologies. Dmitry Fomin, founder and head of the Fomin Clinic, spoke about this at a meeting with the press on February 13, 2025.
The joint venture, Asya LLC, will sell the information system of the same name for medical organizations on the foreign market. Initially, the network of clinics developed it for its internal needs. The solution provides functionality for managing an electronic medical record, contains a module for supporting decision-making, managing the quality of work of doctors. Asya uses AI: for example, it interacts with neural networks to check maps and ultrasound images. In addition, the Fomin Clinic also develops BI functionality.
The goal of the joint venture is to create a medical company in order to integrate our IT products into private and public clinics, - explained Dmitry Fomin. - We realized that today there is a huge demand of the market for this. |
According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, Asya LLC was formed on February 10 and registered in Moscow. Half of the company belongs to Dofomin Group LLC (the Dofomin Group umbrella brand unites Fomin Clinic and a number of other assets), a 45% stake is Medical Technologies JSC, and the remaining 5% is Maxim Yudin, who took the position of general director in the joint venture. Before that, Maxim Yudin worked as the technical director of MyOffice in a team led by Pavel Kalyakin.
Dmitry Fomin explained the prerequisites for partnership with Positive Technologies shareholders by the need to increase his expertise in the development of IT products, because he himself is not an IT specialist: "We began to communicate with the main shareholder of Positive Technologies, Yuri Maksimov, and realized that we were looking one way in this direction, in medical technology." In addition to Yuri Maksimov, Alexey Andreev, Managing Director of Positive Technologies, also participates in the new business.
Speaking about the role of Positive Technologies shareholders in a new business for the company, Dmitry Fomin noted the following: initially, his idea was that their role was "powerful networking in IT." At the same time, the partners also have a visionary view of medicine.
The representative of Yuri Maksimov explained to TAdviser that Yuri Maksimov is not personally involved in the joint venture. It has a fund that supports promising and socially significant technological areas, and one of these projects is a new joint venture. It will be dealt with by the foundation team.
Answering TAdviser questions, Dmitry Fomin said that the company began to develop the Asya system in 2018, and in 2019 began to use it. From that moment to the present, the system was used continuously and developed - the company has a team of developers and a team of doctors who are engaged in its development.
Now the task is to pack all the developed functionality into a "box" as a single solution - the company calls it an ERP system: "we give tools that can potentially improve the medical organization management." At the same time, as Dmitry Fomin clarified TAdviser, the company is now thinking about writing or not writing the code of the finance functionality itself, and so on. The option is being considered that the back will be on "1C" or in collaboration with someone else, and the front will be from the "Fomin Clinic."
According to Dmitry Fomin, for all the time about 300 million rubles have already been invested in the development of Asya. And in MVP, the first product to go to the open market, it is planned to invest another 200 million rubles: this is an investment in packing your development into a "boxed" product and selling, Dmitry Fomin explained to TAdviser.
According to the founder of the Fomin Clinic, as of mid-February there are about 100 companies that would like to purchase this product. It is planned to sell it by subscription, and bring it to the stage of readiness for sales - by the end of this year. Moreover, the functionality of support for decision-making "Asi" is already available to doctors of other clinics - the product is called Asya Assistant. His development company is part of the Dopomin Group. According to Dmitry Fomin, this product is bought by the doctors themselves by subscription from both private and state clinics.
Among the largest players in the medical tech market, with whom Asa, Tsifromed (part of the Rostelecom circuit) and the developer of the medical information system Medialog, Bars Group, Smart Delta Systems purchased by him (developer of MIS Infoklinika), RoboMed Systems and so on.
There are many players, notes Dmitry Fomin, but "all the products that are, by and large, are medical '1ski'," he believes. By this, it means an ERP system that covers the doctor's schedule, load, average check, salary, warehouse, etc. The company calls the fundamental difference in its product the opportunity it provides to manage the quality of doctors' work - everything is built around this story.
Dmitry Fomin, answering TAdviser questions, noted that this is a venture project. He and his partners aim to reach a turnover of about 5 billion rubles a year in sales of an IT product for three years.
