2024: Siberian generating company for ₽270 million purchased robots to search for damage in networks
The Siberian Generating Company (SGK) will invest ₽270 million in robotic diagnostics of heating networks in Barnaul in 2025, of which ₽120 million are planned to be allocated to the work of flaw detection robots, and ₽150 million to eliminate the detected damage, said Igor Luzanov, General Director of SGK-Altai JSC on December 11, 2024.
According to TASS, the company intends to explore 20 km of heating networks in Barnaul using robots. Robots-flaw detectors for diagnostics will be provided by companies from Moscow and St. Petersburg. Specialists have identified priority sections of pipelines, accidents on which can lead to large-scale consumer outages for a long time. The Barnaul network is the longest, so the company has set a goal to diagnose 20 km of pipelines annually.
Alexander Gross, director of the Barnaul Heating Network Company branch, noted that diagnostic work will be carried out exclusively in the summer. As part of the program, specialists will check the condition of key sections of heating mains, the failure of which can lead to serious consequences for the infrastructure of the city and its residents.
The repair program of SGK in 2025 will increase by 30% both in the field of generation and in the field of network maintenance. This amount includes funds to replace the most problematic areas of heating mains. The company already has experience in using flaw detection robots - the first tests of the technology took place in 2024 and showed high efficiency in detecting defects.
In 2024, the company's investments in the heating network of Barnaul, Biysk and Rubtsovsk reached ₽8,8 billion, including ₽4,1 billion for repair work and ₽4,7 billion for infrastructure development. Investments in generation facilities amounted to ₽2,1 billion, which is twice as much as in 2023. In 2025, it is planned to increase investments by 70% - up to ₽3,6 billion.[1]
