2023: Siberian Generating Company bought Novomoskovsk GRES

Siberian Generating Company (SGK, part of SUEK), as its general director Maxim Basov said on April 11, 2023, bought Novomoskovsk state district power station. The financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

The station went to us in a difficult state, we have already made all decisions regarding the allocation of funds, now design is underway. As soon as the design is completed, construction work will begin, - said Basov, without specifying how much funds have been allocated and what exactly will be built.

Novomoskovskaya GRES

According to the head of the SGK, all SGK approaches will be applied to the Novomoskovskaya GRES, and full standardization will take place in July 2023.

By April 2023, SGK is the largest producer of thermal energy beyond the Urals and generates a quarter of the electricity in the Siberian OES. The company's stations operate in the Altai, Primorsky and Krasnoyarsk territories, Novosibirsk, Kemerovo, Sverdlovsk regions, Khakassia and Tuva, as well as in the Tula region. The total electric capacity of SGK stations exceeds 16 GW, thermal - 26 thousand. Gcal • h, the perimeter of the group also includes heating networks with a length of 10 thousand km, repair and service companies.

The installed electric capacity of Novomoskovskaya GRES is 233.7 MW, thermal - 302.4 Gcal/h. The station was a production division of the Central Generation branch of PJSC Quadra. In 2017 and 2018, as reported, the movable and immovable property of this and other Quadra stations was transferred to Gazprombank and Sberbank to secure loans.[1]

2022: Azot completes acquisition of Novomoskovskaya GRES from PJSC Quadra

In October 2022, JSC NAK Azot completed the acquisition of Novomoskovskaya GRES from PJSC Quadra. The amount of the purchase transaction has not been disclosed. The acquisition of Novomoskovskaya GRES is an important step towards ensuring the stable and uninterrupted operation of the NAC Azot enterprise. The company plans to decommission outdated plant equipment and strengthen the infrastructure of steam, heat and power supply, ensure the best technologies and high industrial safety standards. The modernization will guarantee the operation of the plant as a reliable source of energy and heat for the enterprise and the city of Novomoskovsk. [2]
