July 19, 2018 The international telecommunication Orange group announced acquisition of 100% of the capital of Basefarm company at Abry Partners Private equity fund. The transaction, worth 350 million euros, was carried out through child division of Orange Business Services.
As explain in Orange, Basefarm purchase which took place after recent merger of the international system integrator Business & Decision is an important step to the development strategies Orange Business Services. Now in its state there are about 1600 experts in the field of cloud computing, and the annual gain in this sector makes 15-20% in global market.
The transaction will expand a portfolio of proposed solutions and will strengthen a strategic position of Orange in such areas as data management, critical applications, multicloud services and analytics of Big Data. Besides, acquisition of Basefarm will increase a geographical coverage of service.
