2021: Create a board for IT companies to enter the exchange
On June 29, 2021, the Association of Computer and Information Technology Enterprises (APKIT) announced the creation of a special council that will help IT companies enter the exchange. The new body was called the Council for Attracting Investments and Entering the Stock Exchange Public Market of IT Companies.
According to APKIT, the council will deal with the following issues:
- involvement of pre-IPO financing;
- changes in corporate governance;
- building investor relations;
- stimulating analytical coverage;
- preparation of proposals for regulation and development of support measures and tools, and optimization of market entry mode for IT companies.
The main goal of the council is to create an industry platform for interaction between owners and managers of IT companies and representatives of relevant state and financial institutions. The authority will help businesses take advantage of the stock boom and raise funds for development through public instruments.
The Board on attracting investments and entering the stock exchange public market of IT companies will include owners and heads of leading domestic technology companies who see the importance of using financial development tools, attracting investments and entering the stock exchange public market. By June 29, 2021, Aplana, Borlas, Lanit, Jet Infosystems, Infotecs, Korus Consulting, etc., confirmed their participation.
The Council also plans to involve representatives of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Digital Affairs, the State Duma and development institutions.
According to the deputy head of the Ministry of Digital Affairs Maxim Parshin, there is interest from Russian developers in attracting additional, public and private investments, as well as the desire of business to invest in promising projects in the field of IT. Therefore, the initiative to create the Council is very timely, he said.[1]
