2023: Revenue growth by 4 times to 556 billion rubles
The revenue of the Russian subsidiary Chery in 2023 amounted to 556 billion rubles, which is almost 4 times more than revenue a year ago. The company's net profit during this time increased by 16.5% and reached 34.7 billion rubles. Such data of Cheri Avtomobily Rus JSC were disclosed in April 2024.
According to Interfax, citing the company's materials, Chery's annual revenue in the Russian Federation has become the highest among all automakers on the Russian market. Car sales in 2023 brought Chery about 538.6 billion rubles, which is 3.8 times more than a year ago. Sales of automotive parts increased by about the same amount and reached 16.2 billion rubles.
In 2023, 220 thousand Chery cars were sold in Russia. This includes models and subsidiary brands, including Chery, Exeed, Omoda and Jaecoo. According to Avtostat, 118,950 cars were sold directly under the Chery brand on the Russian market in 2023, which allowed the company to become a leader in the car market with a share of 11.2% against 6.3% in 2022.
The most popular Chery model on the Russian market in 2023 was the Tiggo 7 PRO Max crossover, which was sold in the amount of 41,057 copies during the specified period in Russia. The second place was taken by the compact crossover Chery Tiggo 4 PRO with an indicator of 32,936 cars (an increase of 15.7 times compared to 2022). The leading three was closed by the Chery Tiggo 8 PRO Max all-wheel drive seven-seater SUV (14,765 cars sold in 2023).[1]
