History
2019: Reorganization into the Committee for Social Security, Motherhood and Childhood of the Kursk Region
In 2019, in order to improve the efficiency of public administration, the following changes were made in the structure of the executive bodies of the Kursk region: the Social Security Committee of the Kursk region was renamed the Committee for Social Security, Motherhood and Childhood of the Kursk Region. The Department of Guardianship, Family and Demographic Policy of the Kursk Region was reorganized and attached to the Committee for Social Security, Motherhood and Childhood of the Kursk Region[1] of[1].
Decree of the Governor of the Kursk Region of February 19, 2020 N 64-pg approved the Regulation on the Committee for Social Security, Motherhood and Childhood of the Kursk Region[2]. This Regulation defines that the Committee for Social Security, Motherhood and Childhood of the Kursk Region is the successor to the Department for Guardianship, Family and Demographic Policy of the Kursk Region.
2018: Activities of the Department of Guardianship, Family and Demographic Policy of the Kursk Region
Areas of activity of the Department of Guardianship, Family and Demographic Policy of the Kursk Region (as of August 2018):
- Implementation of a unified state family and demographic policy in the Kursk region.
- Implementation on the territory of the Kursk region of a unified state policy for the protection of the rights and legitimate interests of minors, including orphans and children left without parental care, children in need of state assistance, as well as persons from among orphans and children, those left without parental care, aged 18 to 23 years, adult legal persons who, for health reasons, cannot independently exercise and defend their rights and perform their duties, adult persons recognized by the court as incapable or limited legal capacity.
- Ensuring the priority of family forms of upbringing of orphans and children left without parental care, prevention of social orphanhood.
