History

2021: Attracting $15.5 million investment

On July 19, 2021, Cube Dev announced the attraction of $15.5 million in investments. In the Series A funding round, the venture capital fund Decibel, as well as Bain Capital Ventures, Betaworks and Eniac Ventures, invested in the startup.  The participants did not disclose the details of the transaction.

Cube Dev intends to spend the funds received on the Cube Cloud platform, which is a conductor between the database and the application. Typically, the application developer creates this link on its own. However, the founders of Cube Dev believe that their technology will save 95% of the time for development. The remaining 5% of the time will have to be spent on customization and configuration of the platform.

It was created to translate and send natural language requests to any data source from Slack. Then a designer was created to analyze  Cube.js  for a narrow audience of fellow programmers. Cube.js users create applications sharpened for their tasks that aggregate data from different sources and graphically visualize it.
