Edelweiss was established in 2014 and develops electronic devices for user, industrial and special purposes, IT equipment of various classes, as well as is a supplier, designer and integrator of high-performance multiprocessor computers.
Edelweiss is a design center for the development of industrial and embedded electronics on domestic and imported processors.
All circuitry and mechanical solutions in the Company's computing equipment are domestic developments. The main components of the final products can be developed with the priority use of the Russian ECB. Integrated boards, mechanical, electrical and thermal design of cases, control systems, embedded software - development of our Company. Intellectual property and working design documentation for these components belong to the Company.
2023: Rostec's withdrawal from the founders
In early May 2023, it became known that National Center for Informatization"" (NCI), which is part of the state corporation Rostec"," decided to resign from the founders of the Edelweiss IT company.
Edelweiss is developing hardware solutions based on Russian processors of the Baikal family. As noted by CNews, the blocking share of 25.1% in this enterprise was transferred to the NCI in early April 2022. According to some reports, Edelweiss is associated with Vsevolod Opanasenko, the founder of T-platforms. Opanasenko himself by April 2023 is under investigation in a case related to the problematic supply of computers based on Baikal chips to the Ministry of Internal Affairs: the amount of this contract amounted to 357.1 million rubles.
CNews reports that on March 14, 2023 Moscow , a lawsuit was filed with the Arbitration Court against Edelweiss by the scientific and production enterprise "" Source named after A. I. Shokin, which is part of Rostec. The reason for the proceedings in the public documents of the file cabinet of arbitration cases is not indicated, but the amount of claims is 544.6 million rubles. Soon after the appearance of information about the filing of a lawsuit, Rostec decided to refuse to participate in the Edelweiss business.
Currently, corporate procedures are underway to withdraw NCI LLC from the founders of Edelweiss LLC. Exit is carried out free of charge in accordance with the mutual decision to terminate the corporate agreement concluded in 2022. It is also argued that the decision to terminate the corporate agreement was made due to the lack of commercial projects in the implementation of which the scientific and technical potential of Edelweiss would be involved. At the same time, the company itself will continue to develop as an independent design center.[1]
