2021: Attracting $2 million investment
April 16, 2021 it became known about the attraction by Fixar of investments in the amount of $2 million, thanks to which it plans to expand the geography of its business. Funds received from business angels in the pre-A round.
$620 thousand was invested in the project by members of the Russian investor club Angelsdeck. Konstantin Sinyushin, managing partner of the Untitled ventures venture fund, told Forbes that Fixar's indirect estimated value was about $12 million.
As the founder of Fixar Vasily Donbass told the publication, the company intends to start selling its drones in Europe, North and South America and Southeast Asia. Investments should cover the cost of certifying a product abroad, translating interfaces and manuals into regional languages and scaling drone production.
Donbass says that in each country Fixar plans to find a local dealer and sell him a license to produce drones. The dealer will sell devices and engage in service.
At the same time, we do not even invest in marketing, but we receive a percentage from each device sold, "the founder explained. In the future, dealers will be able to open local drone production under a Fixar license. |
Nikita Rodichenko, Technical Director of the drone manufacturer Tsuru Robotic, considers $2 million a small investment for companies developing iron. The production of drones needs a lot of money, and $2 million can be easily spent on the development of one product, he said.
According to him, when expanding abroad, it is necessary to first establish service centers so that customers can quickly update or repair products.
It is advisable that they speak the language of the region, because few people speak English abroad, "Rodichenko emphasized.[1] |
