Rosaviatsia issued a certificate to the Global Jet Technic maintenance organization, giving the right to maintain a number of Boeing and Airbus aircraft of Russian airlines in the UAE. The department announced this on February 13, 2023.

It is noted that the certificate confirms the compliance of the organization's activities with the requirements of the Federal Aviation Rules "Requirements for legal entities, individual entrepreneurs who carry out maintenance of civil aircraft. The form and procedure for issuing a document confirming the compliance of legal entities, individual entrepreneurs engaged in the maintenance of civil aircraft with the requirements of federal aviation rules. "

As explained in the Federal Air Transport Agency, this document gives the right to carry out maintenance of Boeing 737, Airbus 318/319/320/321 and Airbus 330 Russian air carriers.

Global Jet Technic is one of the leading aircraft maintenance companies in the Persian Gulf, according to its website. The company has the right to carry out maintenance of most Boeing and Airbus aircraft.

After the start of a special military operation in Ukraine, Western countries stopped supplying civilian aircraft and spare parts to the Russian Federation and obliged their lessors to return the liners already leased from Russia.

There is no information on the exact number of aircraft that are finleased by Russian airlines in open sources. The Vedomosti newspaper in 2018 cited the following data: out of 336 Aeroflot aircraft, the group's financial leasing or ownership (also included Russia, Pobeda and Aurora) had 43 units, S7 and Ural Airlines had none. At the same time, almost the entire fleet in financial leasing or ownership was at UTair - 65 out of 66 aircraft.[1]
