2024: R-Pharm bought 49.9% at IVF Center
At the end of December 2024, it became known that Eco Holding JSC, part of the R-Pharm group of companies, acquired a 49.9% stake in the IVF Center network of assisted reproductive technologies clinics from the founder of the network, Sergei Lebedev.
On December 21, 2024, an entry appeared in the SPARK-Interfax system on the submission of applications for amendments to the constituent documents of legal entities related to the clinic. The amount of the transaction was not disclosed.
The IVF Center clinic network, founded in 2012, includes 35 branches in 34 cities of Russia. By the end of 2024, it is planned to perform 6 thousand cycles of assisted reproductive technologies (ART). The revenue of 25 legal entities of the network in 2023 exceeded ₽1,45 billion.
According to the publication, in Russia ART procedures are carried out in about 330 IVF clinics, of which about 70% are private. The total market volume is estimated at ₽25 -27 billion. The leader of the segment remains the network of clinics "Mother and Child" under the leadership of Mark Kurzer.
R-Pharm Group of Companies already has interests in the field of assisted reproductive technologies, owning registration certificates for microfluidic chips for sperm sorting and an automated solution for non-invasive prenatal testing.
The company also announced plans to distribute a plate incubator for artificial insemination procedures and special media for preparing gametes and cultivating embryos during in vitro insemination procedures.
Before the transaction, the sole owner of the network was its founder Sergey Lebedev. The acquisition of a stake in the IVF Center strengthens R-Pharm's position in the reproductive technology market and expands the company's presence in the medical services segment.[1]
