icon Systemhaus GmbH is the German company which works in the field of industrial automation of documents more than 16 years. A main product of icon is one of the most effective world technologies in the field of management of generation and maintaining documents – Icon Suite.

From the moment of creation in 1995 Icon Systemhaus worked as the consulting company rendering services for the clients of IBM using mainframes. However, when mass transition from meynfrem to the PC became obvious, in the company thought of creation of the product which could accumulate, on the one hand, the accumulated consulting experience, and with another, - would be focused on the companies which are actively using personal computers Wolfgang Prassl, the chief operating officer of Icon Systemhaus told TAdviser.

In 1998 in the company work on the product Icon Suite began, and in 2001 there was the first commercial implementation – in large German bank KFW. From 90 specialists of Icon Systemhaus over product development and its implementations at customers nearly 90% work. The product represents a single platform for automatic formation, processing and storage of all documents of the organization.

Implementation cost

The implementation cost of Icon Suite depends on two parameters – from the number of users and from requirements concerning system performance. But in general, implementation of the average project in Germany, according to Prassl, costs about 1 million euro which one half leaves on a payment for the license, and the second – on implementation maintenance.

Clients

Now the Icon Suite technology is used 21 insurance companies from Top-30 of the largest German insurance companies, more than twenty leading banks of Germany, the European financial organizations, automobile associations, trade enterprises and services industries, etc.

International activity

Reached the international Icon Systemhaus level in 2011. In the current year it was started the affiliate program within which the company attracted partners in Italy, Latvia, Great Britain and Russia.

Entry into the Russian market

Icon in Russia works through two partners - the companies RDTECH and Croc.

It agrees to the agreement signed in April, 2012 about RDTECH, the Russian integrator had an opportunity to implement the solution Icon Suite in the Russian companies.

The company is not going to increase the number of partners. "Russia is the market, new to us, we yet not quite understand how here business is based, and we should be very much careful, - Wolfgang Prassl told TAdviser. – Therefore we consider that two partner companies are still enough".

Yury Saygin, the head RDTECH, told that for his company partnership with Icon is a new experience and essentially new activity. Yet the company has no specific potential customers. As Saygin said, in RDTECH try "systematize the companies on the industries now" to understand, to offer implementation what what options to group.

Anastasia Zheleznaya, the deputy manager of Department of marketing RDTECH, emphasized that the company has no doubts in demand of a product. "The last economic crisis taught to save the companies, - she says. – Already began to save on printing, entering the centralized printing, and in the near future will begin to save also on production of documents".

However, Prassl warns that the solution of his company – not mass. Vendor believes that implementation of Icon Suite is reasonable in the companies with number of staff from 100 the person (the upper limit is unlimited, for Icon at the moment the most large-scale implementation was in the company from 43,000 users), and the company should generate really it is a lot of documents, both paper, and electronic.

Saygin answered a question of why among the different companies proposing solutions for management of generation and maintaining documents, RDTECH was selected by Icon, that, first, the vast majority of the solutions presented at the market highly specialized, except for, perhaps, Oracle Skywire, and secondly, Icon is a pioneer in this area and has extensive experience. Answered a question of TAdviser why RDTECH, the old partner of Oracle, selected the solution of other company, Yury Saygin that his company prefers in so special solutions "work with the monofunktsialny companies".

Yury Saygin promised that implementations will cost RDTECH 10 times less than in Germany where average cost is about 1 million euros. "We will not offer the companies everything at once, we will begin with small, and then if it is pleasant to them, we will expand functionality". So finally, when using all opportunities of the solution, cost will be comparable to European, but the client will be able to try use at himself Icon Suite in the "truncated" option for the amount approximately of 3-4 million rubles. "It is the optimal price for implementation of a new product", - Saygin emphasized.
