2018: Equinix buys Infomart Dallas
In February, 2018 the Equinix company which at that time had most of all data centers in the world, announced purchase of Infomart Dallas for $800 million.
Under the terms of the agreement, Equinix gets access to all transactions and clients of Infomart Dallas (service providers of a collocation of DPCs, operators of networks and tenants of office spaces) to strengthen the global platform.

The top manager added that with purchase of Infomart Dallas from Equinix there will be four large assets, and the repeating revenue will increase more than by 45%. It is going to close the transaction to the middle of 2018.
According to the CRN edition on February 15, 2018, Equinix expanded recently possibilities of the platform of interconnections which connects about 200 data centers of the company and services of the partners connected to the Equinix Cloud Exchange platform. Thanks to the last company can look for and be connected to other clients of Equinix within any location. Equinix is present at 48 markets (data for February, 2018).
Purchase of Infomart Dallas became the first acquisition of Equinix in 2018 after active the 2017th when the American giant concluded bargains for billions of dollars.[1]
