History

2021: ServiceNow bought Intellibot

At the end of March 2021, ServiceNow announced the acquisition of the developer of solutions for robotic process automation (RPA) Intellibot from Hyderabad (India). The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

ServiceNow stated that the acquisition will enhance the capabilities of its core workflow through Intellibot technology, which helps customers automate repetitive tasks for end-to-end automation. ServiceNow plans to integrate Intellibot capabilities into the Now Platform to make it easier for customers to integrate with both modern and legacy systems.

ServiceNow acquired Intellibot

ServiceNow stated that the acquisition will add to the existing AI and ML technologies in the ServiceNow also support for virtual agent, chat bots, NLP, low-code application development mode, process mining, process automation.

ServiceNow, led by former SAP CEO Bill McDermott, acquires various AI companies to build technology and apply expertise within the Now Platform platform. Over the past year, ServiceNow has acquired the following AI startups: Element AI, Loom Systems, Passage AI and Sweagle. The ServiceNow noted that the combination of technologies of these companies on the ServiceNow platform will provide organizations with a complete set of tools for implementing digital transformation initiatives.

ServiceNow said that in addition to expanding the platform, the acquisition of Intellibot will also help the company expand its presence in India, one of its fastest growing markets. The company plans to build two new data centers in India by the first quarter of 2022 and double the staff in the country over the next three years.[1]
