Launch of "K2 NeuroTech"

The company K2 Tech on August 29, 2024 announced the launch of a business unit - K2 NeuroTech. The brand will combine the company's competencies in designing, supporting and scaling supercomputer clusters. In addition to complex services for creating turn-key supercomputers, K2 NeuroTech offers the market two software and hardware complexes (PAK) of its own assembly - for High Performance Computing (HPC), as well as artificial intelligence (AI, AI) and machine learning (Machine Learning, ML).

The team K2 NeuroTech consists of highly qualified engineers, developers and system architects. Specialists have experience in designing and building supercomputer complexes for companies in the extractive industry and the machine-building industry, as well as for scientific and educational organizations. One of the team's landmark projects is the Oracle supercomputer for the development of new materials, erected in a data center on the basis of Novosibirsk State University.

Creating a brand K2 NeuroTech is a logical response to market demands to expand the computing power necessary to introduce AI and accelerate research under import substitution conditions. If earlier Western manufacturers offered supercomputers as monovendor solutions in debugged configurations, now it is impossible to purchase these solutions, since there is no access to the intermediate layer software. In addition, few people have practical experience in creating systems based on domestic equipment, taking into account performance optimization. That is why we decided to invest our competencies and experience in creating a comprehensive proposal for the construction of supercomputer clusters and the development of two PACS for the tasks of HPC and ML under a single brand K2 NeuroTech, - said Oleg Vishnyak, Director for the Promotion of Solutions K2 NeuroTech.

PAK-HPC and PAK-ML from K2 NeuroTech include Russian hardware and software solutions from the registers of Ministry of Digital Development and the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Due to this, the risks associated with dependence on foreign supplies are significantly reduced, and there are opportunities for stable technical support of solutions and their further scaling on request. Partners K2 NeuroTech are more than 60 manufacturers of Russian software and equipment.

PAK-HPC is designed to significantly accelerate scientific research and development, which is important in industries such as pharmaceuticals, extractive industry and mechanical engineering. The peak performance of the PAK-HPC reaches 7.6 TFlops (FP64) per computing server. Powerful computing resources enable scientists and engineers to create new products and perform complex tests faster, while minimizing the need for physical prototypes and thereby reducing the risks associated with production errors and failed tests.

PAK-ML is designed to introduce AI and machine learning technologies for processing and analyzing Big Data. The peak performance of the PAK-ML reaches 536 TFlops (TFP64) per computing server. PAC based on the AI/ML platform is designed for use in the industrial sector (digital twin development and management), in retail ( training recommendation systems, demand forecasting and content generation), in the financial sector (creating anti-family systems and ensuring high accuracy and reliability in transaction processing and risk analysis) and other industry economies.
