History

2024: Investment of 1 billion rubles in the expansion of the plant by 1.5 times

St. Petersburg manufacturer of printing devices and software "Katyusha" in September 2024 announced a significant expansion of production capacities in the Leningrad region. According to the company's plans, the volume of printing equipment will be increased by 150 thousand devices per year, which will increase annual production from 200 to 350 thousand units. To implement the project, the company intends to invest ₽1 billion of its own funds, which is part of the total investment in expansion exceeding ₽3 billion.

According to Kommersant, the company plans to conclude an agreement on the construction of additional production and storage facilities. This decision was announced by the Governor of the Leningrad Region Alexander Drozdenko. The company's site is located in the village of Suoranda, Vsevolozhsky District, and is engaged in the production of both printers and multifunctional devices (MFPs) under the Katyusha brand.

The products have been on the Russian market since 2017 and are used in both the private and public sectors. Among the clients are state authorities, including the presidential administration, the Federation Council, the State Duma, as well as industrial enterprises in the fields of power and metallurgy. In 2023 and 2024, Katyusha products were actively used to provide technical support for elections, including a single voting day and presidential elections in Russia.

Analysts note that the expansion project has prospects in the context of growing demand for domestic equipment, especially within the framework of government orders. Mikhail Burmistrov, General Director of the Infoline-Analytics agency, emphasizes that despite the difficulties of competing with Chinese manufacturers, Russian companies can successfully develop thanks to state support and cooperation with large industrial enterprises.[1]
