Software of the company by means of technologies in the field of artificial intelligence collects data from the Internet and analyzes them for the best understanding of clients and involvement of more target audience. As of October, 2016 at Krux there are a lot of large customers among whom — HBO, JetBlue Airways, Time Inc. and telebroadcasting corporation BBC which uses solutions of Krux for an output of the most relevant advertisements on the Internet.
2016: Salesforce.com buys Krux for $700 million
At the beginning of October, 2016 it became known of sale of Krux of Salesforce.com company which specializes in cloud solutions for automation of sales. Thanks to the new transaction the buyer expects to improve marketing and analytical opportunities of the products and also to create new services on the basis of the purchased technologies.
Purchase of Krux will cost Salesforce.com approximately $700 million. Will pay a half of this amount of Salesforce.com own means, and other part — in the form of the actions. Closing of the transaction is planned for the end of January, 2017.
According to the founder and the CEO of Krux Tom Chavez, Salesforce.com which cooperates with his company long ago, integrates developments of Krux with the CRM services. The director of the products Salesforce.com Alex Dayon added that Krux technologies will add the growing possibilities of Salesforce.com in the field of use of artificial intelligence in a so-called marketing cloud.
The Salesforce.com company continued by Krux purchase series of large absorption. The total cost of acquisitions of IT giant one year prior to the transaction with Krux taking into account it exceeded $5 billion[1]
