2021: Salesforce bought Servicetrace
On August 2, 2021, Salesforce announced a final agreement to acquire Servicetrace, a supplier of robotic process automation (RPA). After the deal closes, Servicetrace will become part of the Salesforce-owned company MuleSoft, according to a joint press release.
It also notes that the RPA direction has recently become one of the leading in the field of software, combining robotics and automation to fulfill repeated office tasks. This allows users to optimize workloads without requiring special skills and significantly reduce the staff of managers. Companies face the challenge of securely integrating, automating, and managing business processes in multiple areas.
According to MuleSoft CEO Brent Hayward, Servicetrace is distinguished by a combination of integration, API management and automation. The company uses technologies such as image recognition, pattern search and optical character recognition using artificial intelligence to recognize graphical user interfaces like a person. This allows customers to drag, drop, and customize automation workflows using internal dashboards. After the system is deployed, Servicetrace software robots can be configured to work in hidden and access-protected sessions, which provides a basic level of security.
These technologies are needed by companies to scale and speed from optimizing sales operations to resolving customer issues faster. That is why we are happy to combine Servicetrace's leading RPA solution with our leading API platform. Our platform allows you to easily unlock and integrate data from anywhere - wherever they are - and manage, control, protect and regulate this data on a scale, "Hayward wrote in his blog. |
It is expected that the acquisition of Servicetrace by MuleSoft will be completed in the third quarter of 2022, subject to the usual closing conditions. The parameters of the agreement, including financial ones, were not disclosed.[1]
