2021: "Mother and Child" deploys a network of points for taking tests

At the end of July 2021, the Mother and Child group announced the start of the creation of a network of laboratory points for taking analyses in Moscow and the Moscow region. The new project was called MD Lab.

Thus, Mother and Child will compete with such large networks of diagnostic laboratories as Invitro (1.6 thousand medical offices by the end of July 2021), Gemotest (820 offices) and Helix (more than 400 points). At the same time, more detailed information about the new business direction in the group "Mother and Child" is not disclosed.

The company only reported that the MD Lab network will be among several projects for the implementation of which about 12 billion rubles will be spent over three years. Part of the costs is associated with the expansion of the medical complex in Lapino: it provides for the construction of the Lapino-3 nuclear center, with an area of ​ ​ 12,000 square meters. m, which will provide a full cycle of medical assistance in the work of the company's oncology service, as well as the construction of the 100-bed Lapino-5 building with an area of ​ ​ 10,000 square meters. m

Expanding our presence in the Moscow region, we are preparing for the construction of a multidisciplinary hospital in Domodedovo, with an area of ​ ​ 15,000 square meters. m, which will be built in accordance with our standard project of the regional hospital. We also began preparing a new hospital project at our site in St. Petersburg. At the same time, we will continue to expand the network of our outpatient clinics, "says Mark Kurzer, general director of Mother and Child Group of Companies, whose words are quoted by the company's press service.

By the end of July 2021, the Mother and Child group includes 42 clinics in 25 regions (six multidisciplinary hospitals and 36 outpatient clinics). The company's net debt as of June 30 was 1.83 billion rubles, which is 38% less than a year earlier.^[1]
