MediBuddy is the largest platform of digital health care of India for providing stationary, out-patient, improving and fitness services with network of 90 thousand doctors, 7 thousand hospitals, 3 thousand diagnostic centers. The company is founded in 2002.

History

2021: Attraction of $40 million investments

At the beginning of February, 2021 the MediBuddy medical technical-company which is based in Bangalore announced attraction of financing in the amount of $40 million. Invested the Finsight Ventures fund created by the founder of Finam Victor Remsha and his partner Alexey Garyunov in MediBuddy.

MediBuddy intends to use the raised funds for further strengthening of the base of doctors and hospitals, support of bigger number of patients, development of products, technologies and a brand that on a step to approach the mission for providing high-quality medical care to one billion people.

The MediBuddy medical technical-company attracted $40 million

The cofounder and the CEO of MediBuddy Satish Kannan noted that against the background of the uncertainty in the world connected with COVID-19 pandemic, the potential of the telemedicine MediBuddy platform attracted considerable interest of investors in a final round of financing.

The round of series B attracted new investments from India Life Sciences Fund III, LLC, TEAMFund LP, JAFCO Asia Fund, Finsight Ventures, ALES Global Japan and Beyond Next Ventures. The existing investors, including Bessemer Venture Partners, Milliways Ventures and Rebright Partners, also took part in this round, - Kannang added.

As of February, 2021 MediBuddy is present at 22 cities of India. The company claims that it services requirements of more than 35 thousand residents of India daily through the whole country.

In MediBuddy we aim to make high-quality medical care available to Indians through the whole country. In any day we provide consultations to the bigger number of patients, than any leading network offline - hospitals. Moreover, we are proud of the fact that more than 50% of these users are outside the cities, - Satish Kannan told.[1]
