The Ministry of Digital Development and Communications of the Samara Region (formerly the Department of Information Technology and Communications of the Samara Region, DITiS SO) is an executive body of the Samara Region that manages the field of information technology, communications, telecommunications, information security and ensuring the protection of personal data, the development of the information society and the formation of electronic government in the Samara region.

History

2025: Appointment as head of Viktor Zlobich

In the Samara region, Viktor Zlobich, who previously served as deputy governor of the Vologda region, was appointed Minister of Digital Development and Communications in January 2025. This was announced by the governor of the region Vyacheslav Fedorishchev at a meeting of the regional government. In addition to the post of minister, Zlobich will also serve as deputy chairman of the regional government. Read more here

The head of the IT department of the Samara region, Konstantin Presnyakov, was dismissed due to a failed project to equip roads with video cameras

Transformation into the Ministry of Digital Development and Communications of the Samara Region

At the end of October 2024, the governor of the Samara region signed a decree on changing the structure of the regional government: the Department of Information Technology and Communications of the Samara Region was reorganized into the Ministry of Digital Development and Communications.

The website of the regional government specifies that the formation of new departments will not entail an increase in the staff. Information about who will head the new departments will appear in the near future, it was reported on October 25, 2024.
