History
2026: Appointment as head of Sadyr Japarov
On February 24, 2026, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov signed a decree appointing Damirbek Osmonov as acting Minister of Health of the republic. Damirbek Osmonov's candidacy will be submitted for approval to the Jogorku Kenesh (Kyrgyz parliament). Read more here
2025: Appointment of Minister Kanybek Dosmambetov
On December 23, 2025, the Committee on Constitutional Legislation, State Structure, Local Self-Government and Regulations of the Jogorku Kenesh approved the candidacy of Kanybek Dosmambetov for the post of Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan. For the first time in the history of the country, this post was taken by a person without medical education. Read more here
2022: Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan Beishenaliev Alymkadyr Savirdinovich detained
In early June 2022, it became known about the detention of the Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan Alymkadyr Beishenaliev. Seven criminal cases were initiated against him: one under the article on corruption, two under the article on extortion of bribes and four under the articles on abuse of official position and conclusion of a deliberately unprofitable contract. 2020: Detention of Minister Kosmosbek Cholponbayev
In mid-September 2020, it became known about the detention of the former head of the ministry health care Kyrgyzstan , Kosmosbek Cholponbayev. He is suspected of negligence and abuse of office. More. here
