The Scanner Research and Production Association was established on June 21, 2006 as a joint venture between Samsung Medison and Сканер.ру LLC for the production of modern ultrasonic diagnostic equipment in Russia. As of April 2018, the co-owners of the NPO "Scanner" are "citizens of Russia."

The company produces domestic high and middle-class ultrasound scanners under the Ruscan brand, which are developed in collaboration with Samsung Medison and produced on the basis of the Rostec corporation.

History

2023: Launch of ultrasonic diagnostics machines

A resident of the special economic zone (SEZ) "Technopolice Moscow" has launched the production of ultrasound diagnostics devices of the latest generation. This was announced on June 30, 2023 by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations Vladimir Efimov.

The production of ultrasonic devices of the Scanner research and production association was located at the Pechatniki site in 2022. The total area of ​ ​ the object exceeds 600 square meters. About 40 jobs were created here. After reaching design capacity, the company will be able to produce up to two thousand scanners per year, covering the main needs of the Russian market for this technique. Investments in the implementation of the project amount to 70 million rubles, - explained Vladimir Efimov.

The Scientific and Production Association (NPO) is engaged in the production of ultrasonic diagnostics devices, including expert class, under the Ruscan brand. This equipment is universal and can be used for high-precision diagnostics in obstetrics, cardiology, oncology, traumatology, pediatrics and other industries. All models are equipped with Russian software and are included in the Register of Russian Industrial Products and the Unified Register of Russian Radio-Electronic Products.

On the territory of the capital's SEZ, the resident plans to produce a line of five scanner models, including a portable ultrasound device for research in operating rooms, intensive care units, ambulances, mobile hospitals, rural outpatient clinics and in hard-to-reach areas. Over the past two years, the company has sold over one and a half thousand devices under state contracts worth more than nine billion rubles. The company's products are supplied to medical institutions in 79 regions of the country, from small district hospitals to large federal medical centers, including specialized ones, "said Vladislav Ovchinsky, head of the Moscow Department of Investment and Industrial Policy.

As noted by Gennady Degtev, General Director of the Technopolice Moscow SEZ, as of June 2023, the NGO occupies 36.6 percent of the share of the Russian ultrasonic scanner market in the first quarter of 2023.

The company delivered ultrasound devices to medical institutions located in Moscow. Competition in the capital market is made up of foreign analogues, but we plan that after the launch of production in the SEZ "Technopolice Moscow" the volume of supplies of domestic devices to medical institutions will increase. The capacities of our production make it possible to meet the basic needs for ultrasonic diagnostic equipment in Russia, - summed up the general director of the company Artem Lomakov.

2022: Investing 55 million rubles in the production of ultrasound scanners

The scientific and production association (NPO) "Scanner" received the status of a resident of the special economic zone of Moscow and plans to start its own production at the Pechatniki site by early 2023. This was announced on September 28, 2022 by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations Vladimir Efimov.

NPO "Scanner" will establish the production of ultrasonic diagnostic equipment at one of the sites of the capital's special economic zone by the beginning of 2023. At the same time, in the second quarter of 2023, the company intends to reach the planned design capacity. It will be able to produce up to two thousand scanners annually. As of September 2022, the company's investments in production amounted to almost 55 million rubles, and the implementation of the project will create over 30 jobs, told Vladimir Efimov.

NPO "Scanner" produces ultrasonic scanners under the brand "Ruscan." The line of equipment is represented by models from medium to expert class. They are used for high-precision diagnostics in various fields - from obstetrics and pediatrics to oncology and traumatology. Advanced visualization capabilities provide high-quality scanning throughout the depth.

Ultrasonic scanners of the SEZ resident "Technopolice Moscow" are fully Russified and equipped with domestic software. The share of the use of Russian raw materials and components in their production exceeds 60%. Thanks to this, conditions are created to meet the demand of medical institutions for high-quality equipment, specified the head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy of Moscow Vladislav Ovchinsky.

According to the results of the first half of 2022, the supply of RuScan devices under state contracts doubled compared to the same period in 2021.

NPO "Scanner" will become another representative of the innovative cluster of manufacturers of medical devices and biopharma.
