In the middle of July, 2019 the U.S. National Security Agency announced that it creates new division of cyber security of Cybersecurity Directorate which will protect the industry and the national systems.

The new division should begin work at the beginning of October, 2019 under the leadership of the employee of the NSA Anne Neuberger. Neuberger held a position of the director of risk management of the agency earlier and dealt with effects of revelations of Edward Snowden.

The The Wall Street Journal newspaper reported that the new group will replace division of information of the NSA which was engaged in protection of the sensitive systems of national security against hackers. The aspiration to integrate defensive and offensive activity in the field of cyber security within one division - a part of more large-scale activities for integration of the NSA. According to media, this initiative proceeds from the general Paul Nakasone who became the director of the NSA in May, 2018. Nakasone also heads US Cybercom and the Central security service.

Formation of new division of cyber security happens under pressure of more and more sophisticated cybercriminals. The predecessor Nakason, the general Keith Alexander described in an interview quickly developing landscape kibeugroz in which the border between actions of the national states and cyber crime is erased.

According to Alexander, at the level of the country it is necessary for fight against cyberthreats that the government understood the cyber attacks undertaken against the companies of the private sector better. Remain on a step ahead of hackers at the national level — a difficult task, but quite feasible, the former head of the NSA considers.[1]
