History

2014

According to the order of the Government of the Russian Federation of 5/11/2014 No. 771r branch VUNTs VTR "Naval academy" (Vladivostok) is renamed into the Pacific highest naval school of S.O. Makarov and subordinated to the commander-in-chief of the VTR as independent military school.

2013

By the order of the Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation of February 26, 2013 No. 545 VUNTs VTR "Naval academy" it is subordinated to the commander-in-chief of the VTR.

2012

Since January, 2012 according to the order of the Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation of 8/24/2011 No. 1458 as structural divisions as a part of VUNTs VTR "Naval academy" training centers on training of submariners in Obninsk of the Kaluga region and Sosnovy Bor of the Leningrad Region perform the activity. Branches VUNTs VTRs "Naval academy" are renamed by the order of the Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation of March 15, 2012 No. 545 respectively into Military institute (additional professional education), Military institute (naval), Military institute (naval polytechnical), branch VUNTs VTR "Naval academy" (Vladivostok), branch VUNTs VTR "Naval academy" (Kaliningrad), Research institute (shipbuilding and arms of the VTR), Research institute (operational and strategic researches of construction of the VTR), Research institute (rescue and underwater technologies).

2010

Since February 15, 2011 turned with the order of the Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation of 10/14/2010 No. 1360 with the changes made by the order of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation of 2011 No. 8, educational institutions of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation (including VUNTs VTR "Naval Academy of N.G. Kuznetsov") into subordination of Department of Education of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation.

1990

The resolution of Council of Ministers of the USSR of August 24, 1990 No. 852 of academy appropriates a name of Nikolay Gerasimovich Kuznetsov. The name according to the resolution - "Naval Orders of Lenin, October Revolution and Ushakov Academy of a Name of the Admiral of the Fleet of the Soviet Union N.G. Kuznetsov".

1976

In 1976 the name of Marchal of the Soviet Union of Andrey Antonovich Grechko is appropriated to academy.

1960

According to the Decree of Presidium of the Supreme Council of USSR of January 15, 1960 "About new considerable reduction of Armed Forces of USSR" and in pursuance of the Resolution of Council of Ministers of the USSR No. 375-151 of March 31 of the same year "About reduction of number and reorganization of military schools of the Ministry of Defence" the solution of the Minister of Defence of the USSR the Naval academy of K.E. Voroshilov and Naval academy of shipbuilding and arms of A.N. Krylov were united in one which since July 15, 1960 began to hereinafter be referred to as Naval academy of the Order of Lenin. Day is confirmed on February 10 with the solution of the Commander-in-chief of the VTR of the USSR of November 1, 1960 as an annual holiday of Naval academy.

1945

In 1945 on the basis of hydrographic, artillery, mine and torpedo, shipbuilding, communication and other technical faculties of Naval academy of the Order of Lenin of K.E. Voroshilov the Naval academy of shipbuilding and arms (BMAKB) which was placed in the building on Bolshoy Nevka Embankment is created. Same year the name of the academician A was appropriated to it. * N. Krylova.

1941

In 1941 the academy was transferred from Leningrad to Astrakhan and Samarkand where was till 1944.

1931

In 1931 the name of Kliment Efremovich Voroshilov is appropriated to Naval academy.

1914-1919

And till 1916 studies in academy were not conducted with the beginning of World War I (1914-1918). Listeners of the renewed set of 1916 were let out in 1918. Since 1919 on naval department of academy of occupation began on a permanent basis.

1910

In 1910 the academy became independent educational and scientific institution, the position of the chief of the Nikolaev sea academy in the rank of the vice admiral with direct subordination to the Sea minister is entered. In 1910 the emperor Nicholas II approved the new Charter and Regulations on Sea academy. In the first article of provision it is written: "The Nikolaev sea academy belongs to discharge of higher educational institutions and has the purpose to give the higher naval education and the higher vocational technical education conforming to the modern requirements of naval service studying in it to officers". By this provision, the academy included four departments (faculty): naval, hydrographic, mechanical, shipbuilding.

1862-1877

In 1862 the emperor Alexander II transformed the Officer class to the Academic course of marine sciences, and in 1877 — to the Nikolaev sea academy. Before the beginning of the 20th century the academy (An officer class, the Academic course of marine sciences, the Nikolaev sea academy) was at the Sea body.

1827

The academic naval education in Russia originates from creation on January 28 on old style (on February 10 on new) 1827 of the Officer class at Sea military school in St. Petersburg (the emperor Nicholas I approved the lists of teachers provided by the admiral I.F. Krusenstern and the training program).

1701-1715

Conducts the history VUNTs VTR "Naval academy" since organization the Royal Decree of Peter the Great in Moscow 14 on January (25), 1701 of Navigatsky school. The academy is the oldest not only military, but also secular higher educational institution in Russia. From the Sea academy, or Academy of sea guard created in 1715 in St. Petersburg on the basis of its high school, the system of naval science and education in three centuries passed a forward way of development and nowadays represents the balanced educational and scientific complex executing the leading role in personnel and scientific ensuring construction, preparation and application of Navy as bases of naval capacity of the country.
