Since the beginning of the 1880s, the plot of land between Lavrentievskaya (since 1929 - part of Elektrozavodskaya) and Malaya Semyonovska streets belonged to Vasily Dmitrievich Nosov, a merchant of the 1st guild, a hereditary honorary citizen, the owner of the nearby factory of the Nosov Industrial and Trade Partnership (Malaya Semenovskaya, 5-7), famous for the quality of its textile products: scarves, duvet blankets and cloth for uniforms.

Probably, the decision to build a new house on this site was due to the fact that Nosov's only son Vasily married in 1902 Euphemia Pavlovna Ryabushinskaya, daughter of P. M. Ryabushinsky, and soon settled with his wife in the main house of the estate of Vasily Dmitrievich. This is also confirmed by the memories of the grandson of V. D. Nosov, Yu. A. Bakhrushin, who wrote:... "when my uncle married, my grandfather Nosov built himself a new wooden house, and gave the old mansion on Vvedenskaya Square to his son."

1895: Acquaintance and wedding of Vera Nosova with Alexei Bakhrushin

1895 for Alexei Alexandrovich Bakhrushin, the heir to a dynasty of large industrialists and the founder of a private literary and theater museum, became fateful - at the Christmas merchant costume ball he met his future wife Vera Vasilyevna Nosova. The nineteen-year-old beauty wore a Folie (Spanish shepherdess) costume. Bakhrushin himself dressed up in an innovative suit with battery bulbs.

The Moscow merchant clans of the Bakhrushins and Nosovs were bound by close family ties. According to the memoirs of his son Yuri, Bakhrushin immediately wanted to get acquainted with young Vera, for which he had to look for an intermediary. "And this was found - it was Vera Vasilyevna brother - Vasily Vasilyevich Nosov, with whom Alexey had long been familiar. He asked to be introduced to his sister, and the acquaintance took place. After a short interaction and several joint dances, Alexei Alexandrovich realized that he was in love and found a friend of life. "
