2025: MedInvestGroup bought out the Medical Center for Oncology Diagnostics

On February 20, 2025, it became known that the MedInvestGroup group of companies (GC) became the sole owner of Medical Center for Oncology Diagnostics LLC (MCC) in Novokuznetsk. This nuclear medicine center was declared bankrupt due to debts of hundreds of millions of rubles.

The owners of the MedInvestGroup Group and the Grand Medica clinic (Grand Medica LLC) invested in the opening of the Moscow Center in 2019-2020. But in 2024, the cancer diagnosis center stopped providing services and declared itself insolvent: the debt to creditors exceeded 330 million rubles. The largest amounts - more than 113 million rubles for each - were demanded to be returned by the co-founders of MCO in the person of Medinvestgroup LLC and Inrusinvest JSC (it is the founder of Grand Medica).

In December 2024, Grand Medica LLC withdrew from the founders of the MCC, selling the share of MedInvestGroup. The latter bought the debt of the MCO to Inrusinvest, which reached 116.8 million rubles, under a cession agreement for 80 million rubles, as well as the debt of Grand Doctors in the amount of 7.8 million rubles - for 4.5 million rubles.

Against the background of this transaction, the Arbitration Court of the Kemerovo Region in January 2025 terminated the bankruptcy of the Moscow Region. MedInvestGroup on the basis of this center will continue to provide positron emission tomography (PET) and computed tomography (CT) services to residents of the Kemerovo region. MedInvestGroup intends to extend the lease agreement for the premises and the equipment leasing agreement. From 2025, it is planned to conduct PET/CT diagnostics according to compulsory medical insurance.

MedInvestGroup Group is the owner of PET-Technology, one of the largest PET/CT center networks in Russia. As of October 2024, 29 nuclear medicine centers and PET/CT network centers were opened in the country, and the annual volume of PET/CT studies was 165 thousand.[1]

2020: Construction of Nuclear Medicine Center

In May 2020, it became known that MedInvestGroup and Grand Medica are building a nuclear medicine center in Novokuznetsk. It is planned to open in the third quarter as part of the second stage of the company's joint project - "Medical Center for Cancer Diagnostics."

The Center for Nuclear Medicine will be designed for more than 5 thousand patients per year, they will be accepted under the compulsory medical insurance program. The costs of this project were not disclosed.

It is extremely important for us that not only Kuzbass patients, but also residents of neighboring countries such as Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan will be able to receive diagnostic and treatment services in the center, he said.

By May 11, 2020, the first stage of the Medical Center for Oncodiagnosis includes the work of a drug therapy center, in which more than 200 patients from the Kemerovo region have been treated since the beginning of the year.

According to SPARK-Interfax, Medical Center for Cancer Diagnostics LLC was registered in Novokuznetsk on January 25, 2019. The company is equally owned by Grand Medica LLC and MedInvestGroup LLC, Vademec reports.

Grand Medica announced the construction of a multidisciplinary medical center back in 2015. In April 2017, a clinic was opened. The total investment amounted to about 3.7 billion rubles. The author and investor of the project was a well-known entrepreneur in the Kemerovo region, Alexander Govor, who owns Inrusinvest, which owns 98.28% of Grad Medica LLC. The MedInvestGroup group unites 15 PET-Technologies centers in different regions of the Russian Federation (by May 2020).[2]
