History

2021: Attracting $9 million investment

At the end of May 2021, the American career consulting service for Pathrise technicians received funding of $9 million. The Series A round was led by the Learn Capital fund, the service was also invested by Western Technology Investment and Maria Drokova, the former PR director of Acronis, the Day One Venture fund.

Talking about the idea of creating a job search service, Pathrise founder Kevin Wu noted:

Many people's careers depend on random situations - fortunate enough to meet the right person, have an ideal family or connections. I think it's crazy to leave 50% of my waking time and all my livelihood to chance.

Pathrise Career Consulting Service raises $9 million

Wu noted that the funds raised will be directed to the further development of Pathrise.

I think the way people look at finding a job right now is similar to how people looked at therapy a decade ago: "Oh, you need help," like it's some kind of shame or taboo. I think it's crazy, because, again, it affects at least 50% hours of your wakefulness and the 100% of your livelihood, "commented the founder of Pathrise.

Before Pathrise was founded, Kevin created products for applicants and students for several years, including creating a training application used by tens of thousands of students from several universities, and led an award-winning non-profit organization that helps students gain experience in real projects. Before discovering his passion for developing the career of technical specialists, Kevin worked in leading technology companies, including Yelp and Salesforce.[1]
