QTECH received support from ASI
On October 28, 2015, QTECH announced the Agency's support for strategic initiatives of its project for the development of the production of switches for the needs of the public sector.
According to the company's statement, the project to develop domestic production of switching equipment for the needs of state organizations and authorities received support from the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI).
The participation of this organization, according to the company, will provide favorable conditions for the implementation of a project significant for the development of the Russian telecom market.
On October 13, 2015, at a meeting of the working group "business projects" of the expert council of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI), QTECH presented a project to develop the production of Ethernet switches for the needs of government organizations and authorities. By a general vote of the meeting participants, the project was recognized as a priority for the development of the telecommunications industry and received the right to support and support.
ASI will provide the QTECH project with methodological and information support, and, if necessary, assist in overcoming regulatory and other system barriers.
The QTECH project is focused on creating a specialized product line with a high level of localization for the needs of government organizations, enterprises with state participation and commercial enterprises. It involves the introduction of innovative technological solutions and import substitution. Domestic telecommunication equipment will reduce the degree of dependence of Russian enterprises on imported vendors.
2014
For the first time in its practice since the fall of 2014, the company began to offer enterprises and organizations a comprehensive specialized line covering more than 70 devices and meeting the needs of business structures of various sizes: SOHO, SMB, Enterprise. The test results demonstrate that QTECH equipment designed for corporate networks provides performance, functionality, security and reliability at the level of common Western vendors. But the company intends to maintain a lower price level for similar models in comparison.
Despite a long and successful presence in the telecommunications market: more than 10 years and more than 3,000,000 users, the manufacturer has so far offered only individual device models to business enterprises and government agencies. With the introduction of a complete line of equipment for corporate networks, users will receive tools for solving a wide range of business problems.
2012
The development of QTECH's product line is aimed at creating equipment and solutions that allow building more functional and high-performance access networks. As part of this strategy, the company launched new high-performance series of QSW-2800 access switches and QSW-8300 aggregation switches in 2012. This equipment allows operators to provide subscribers with the full range of modern communication services with high quality of service.
Taking into account the needs of regional telecom operators for inexpensive equipment for the construction of broadband access networks in regions with low Internet penetration, QTECH has released two budget series of switches (access switch QSW-2910 and aggregation switch QSW-8200), which allow you to reduce primary investments in network construction by 30-40%.
An important place in the development of the company's product line belongs to the home Wi-Fi routers of the Digital Heart family. The development of this direction takes place within the framework of the concept of the "Wireless Digital Home." It provides for the creation of a home network using the minimum number of wires. The first models of routers have already received recognition from the largest telecom operators, and in the near future QTECH plans to expand the lineup of the Digital Heart family and implement plans to enter retail chains.
In 2012, QTECH paid special attention to the development of client services and reducing the delivery time of equipment. For this purpose, the company undertook regional expansion, opening representative offices and warehouses in the Siberian (in the cities of Novosibirsk and Krasnoyarsk) and Southern (in Krasnodar) federal districts of the country. Today, thanks to the QTECH regional warehouse program, the most popular models have become available to customers throughout the country with a delivery time of 3-4 days. In addition, on the basis of representative offices in Krasnodar and Novosibirsk, the company opens service centers that provide prompt assistance to customers with the configuration of equipment and its after-sales service. Improving the efficiency and quality of the technical support service became one of the company's priorities in 2012. Thanks to the reorganization of the Service Desk system and the optimization of service procedures, it was possible to achieve a significant reduction in the time for solving incidents on operator networks built on QTECH equipment.
The work carried out in terms of the development of product lines, improving the work of the technical support service and reducing the delivery time of equipment to the regions of Russia allowed QTECH to strengthen partnerships with the largest Russian telecommunications companies such as Rostelecom, Megafon, MTS, Transtelecom and VimpelCom, and attract many new customers in all regions of the country. The total supply of access and aggregation switches in 2012 alone exceeded 450 thousand ports (more than 30,000 units).
Among the largest projects implemented by QTECH:
- Development of the network of OJSC Rostelecom in the Southern (delivery of more than 150,000 access ports) and Volga (delivery of more than 100,000 access ports) federal districts;
- Election of the President of Russia - 20,000 polling stations in the Southern, Ural and Volga federal districts are connected;
- Sochi 2014 Olympics - delivery of communication equipment;
- USE - delivery of communication equipment;
- Elimination of "digital inequality" - more than 10,000 settlements throughout Russia are connected via fiber;
- Development of Rostelecom network in various federal districts;
- Successful construction of pilot zones of fixed-line networks of OJSC Megafon in the Volga and North Caucasus Federal Districts;
- Delivery of subscriber Wi-Fi routers for MTS OJSC and Rostelecom OJSC (a total of more than 200,000 devices).
