2023: Investing 20 billion rubles in the Tver dairy and livestock complex

On July 13, 2023, it became known that the Rumelko-Agro agricultural company, owned by Vladimir Lisin and his Rumelko holding, intends to complete the construction of a dairy farm near the village of Buzykovo by the end of 2023. This is said to be one of the largest investment projects in the Upper Volga region to create modern dairy farming.

According to the press service of the government of the Tver region, the project involves the construction of two dairy and one non-dairy complexes. The creation of the farm is the first stage in the implementation of this initiative. The total herd population will be 24,460 heads, of which approximately 11 thousand are cash individuals, and the rest are non-animals. Vladimir Lisin's holding invests 20 billion rubles in the project. At the same time, approximately 700 new jobs will be formed. In addition, the initiative will give impetus to further development in the region of agriculture and youth employment.

By mid-July 2023, the dairy farm contains about 1.3 thousand rafts of cattle, which were delivered to the Tver region from different regions of Russia, as well as from abroad - the Netherlands, Hungary, Germany and Denmark. By the end of 2023, it is expected that the livestock will grow to 4 thousand heads.

As part of the investment project, the Rumelko-Agro company is building a complex in the village of Burmakino, Kashinsky District, to grow young animals and netels for 14,460 heads. The construction of buildings, a food storage area, a canopy for calves, a dairy kitchen, and engineering networks is also underway. And on the farm in the village of Davydovo, the construction of cowshed, maternity and dry-resistant departments is carried out, stall equipment is brought. The project involves the maintenance of 5500 heads of forage cows and 100 heads of calves until the age of three.^[1]
