History

2021: Maspex bought CEDC International from Russia's Roust for $1 billion

On November 3, 2021, the sale of the Polish food manufacturer CEDC International to Maspex was announced for 3.89 million zlotys (about $1 billion). The seller in the framework of this transaction was the Russian group "Rust." Read more here.

2020: Launch of the vodka brand "Russian Standard" in Nigeria

On October 13, 2020, the Rust group of companies, a vodka producer, announced that, together with NEXT International Brands Limited, one of the regional distributors of premium wines and alcoholic beverages, they launched the Russian Standard vodka brand in one of the countries in Africa - Nigeria.

Russian Standard Vodka is the founder of the premium vodka segment in Russia and annually sells over 3.6 million 9-liter boxes of products in more than 85 markets in Europe, the USA and Asia. Russian Standard is manufactured at a plant in St. Petersburg from water of glacial origin of Lake Ladoga and selected wheat from the Russian Black Earth Region, and passes over 200 distillation stages. As a result, premium vodka is created - soft and refined.

Growth in the Africa region is part of the Rust Group's strategy to accelerate global expansion.

Our mission is to make luxury available all over the world, so we continue to actively develop the distribution of the Russian Standard vodka brand and expand our presence in key regions. Together with NEXT International Brands Limited, we enter one of the major markets on the African continent and intend to become the No. 1 player in the segment of imported vodka, as well as achieve sales of more than 50 thousand 9 liters of boxes in the next 3 years. In addition to Russian Standard vodka, we are launching a Polish brand - the cult tincture Żubrówka Bison Grass with more than 500 years of history and vodka No. 3 in the world Żubrówka Biala, as well as the first Italian sparkling wine Gancia.

We are pleased to present to Nigerian consumers a product that improves the standard and quality of vodka consumption in the country. Since entering the Nigerian market, Russian Standard vodka has already won recognition from celebrities and the most sophisticated consumers. We educate consumers about the brand through a massive advertising campaign that includes a range of online and offline events, as well as active promotion on social media.
