History

2023: Azimut Hotels bought "Semashko Kislovodsk Sanatorium"

On July 10, 2023, the Azimut Hotels hotel chain announced the purchase of two sanatoriums in the Caucasian Mineral Waters - the Semashko Sanatorium in Kislovodsk and its branch - the Werner sanatorium (formerly called Ukraine) in Essentuki. Previously, the hospitals belonged to the Administration of the President of Ukraine. The financial terms of the transactions were not disclosed.

The sanatoriums included in the Azimut Hotels network have been very famous objects since Soviet times, and the Semashko sanatorium is generally considered one of the most significant objects in Kislovodsk. Now it is sad to see the decline of these once successful sanatoriums, but I am sure that their joining the Azimut Hotels family and subsequent renewal will breathe new life into them and attract guests, - said the CEO of Azimut Hotels Maxim Brodovsky.

The purchased sanatoriums will operate under the brand "Russian Railways-Health." By the end of 2023, it is planned to determine the timing of the renovation of the facilities.

The Werner Essentuki Sanatorium (opened in 1973) is located between the Healing Park and Victory Park on 5.5 hectares of its own land. There are two walking routes on the territory, there is a fountain, a swimming pool and a sports and recreation complex. The number of rooms includes 117 cozy rooms of various categories. The sanatorium specializes in the treatment of digestive diseases, diseases of the liver and gallbladder, pathology of the pancreas, metabolic disorders.^[1]
