2024: Establishing a Company

On January 22, 2024, the Board of Directors of the public joint-stock company SmartTechGroup (PJSC STG), the parent company of the fintech service CarMoney, decided to create an IT company in the perimeter of the Group. The working name of the structure is Smart Horizon. The decision was made in preparation for the implementation of the development strategy of PJSC STG 2024-2026, which will be submitted to the board of directors for approval at the end of the first quarter of 2024.

The Group's strategic development plans provide for the expansion of the fintech service: in addition to focusing on the main business, STG PJSC plans to make money on the sale of software solutions and technologies to B2B clients. This is a trend that promises significant growth in the Group's customer base, revenue and profit over the next three years.

Russian fintech company CarMoney has created an IT subsidiary to develop software for sale

Smart Horizon will perform the functions of its own technological operator STG for a new business area. The company will create comprehensive solutions for fintech service partners on the basis of the CarMoney IT platform. In addition, Smart Horizon will adapt and seamlessly integrate software into the platforms of banks, MFIs and leasing companies, as well as build the processes of its subsequent maintenance.

There are two basic scenarios for working with partners in the framework of a new direction. The first is joint projects with companies where financial sector partners are provided with a comprehensive IT solution for outsourcing the process of issuing auto loans to their balance sheet. Using the model (SaaS as software a service), outsourcing of the entire IT architecture or its individual elements is possible. At the same time, STG's profit growth will be ensured by an increase in commission income and monetization of failure traffic.

The second option provides for the creation of a joint venture with one of the large Russian banks, where CarMoney will offer its partner its expertise, established business processes and technologies for issuing loans. In return, the company will receive funding and a client base that has not passed the bank's scoring. In this case, STG directly participates in the profits of the created structure.

Smart Horizon will be registered the Russian in the jurisdiction. In the first quarter of 2024, it is planned to obtain the status of an IT company in, Ministry of Digital Development which will allow you to receive all the benefits and preferences provided for by Russian legislation for the IT sector.
