2024: Introduction of automatic bird trapping equipment

The Damate Group of Companies, a leading turkey producer in Russia, has invested ₽60 million in automating the process of catching poultry at its Indyushkin Dvor enterprise in the Rostov Region. This became known in September 2024 as part of the ongoing modernization of production.

According to information published on the official portal of the government of the Rostov region, the company has acquired four high-performance poultry loaders that allow you to automate the process of catching turkey in poultry houses. The new technology is designed to increase the speed of capture, minimize the impact of the human factor and reduce the risks of injury to the bird.

Andrey Sedov, General Director of the Damate Group of Companies, emphasized the company's intention to continue introducing such modern technologies at all production facilities. The equipment has already passed commissioning and put into operation.

Investments in modernization are part of Damate's strategy for the development of poultry enterprises in the Rostov region. In the first half of 2024, the Indyushkin Dvor enterprise produced 31 thousand tons of turkey meat, which is 37% more than in the same period in 2023. This growth is due to the launch of the fifth block of 40 poultry houses and an increase in the number of commercial herds.

In 2023, the company increased turkey production to 54 thousand tons of slaughter weight. It is planned that the increase in livestock will increase production by 7.5 thousand tons in slaughter weight in 2024. The ultimate goal of the modernization is to reach the design capacity of 85 thousand tons of products per year.

Deputy Governor of the Rostov Region - Minister of Agriculture and Food Konstantin Rachalovsky noted that investments in new equipment, an increase in production volumes and an expansion of the range of finished products demonstrate the systematic development of Don enterprises for the production of turkey and duck meat in accordance with the obligations taken by the Damate group of companies[1]
