In the master's program "Information Systems and Technologies in Healthcare," PIMU will train developers of intelligent machine learning systems, neural networks, decision support systems, network applications, medical information systems, Big Data specialists and medical image analysis. In addition, according to Karjakin, internships and acquaintance with the projects of leading medical software development companies are provided.
IT medical training will be conducted in absentia in the evening. The university promises assistance in the employment of graduates: PIMU has concluded agreements on the practical training of students in the magistracy with a number of large IT companies.
Volga Research Medical University is not the first Russian university to decide to train doctors in specialties related to medical information technologies. Specialists in the medical specialties "IT-medic" and "network doctor," as well as engineers in information systems and technologies in medicine, are now being trained at the First Moscow State Medical University named after I.M. Sechenov.
Institute of Digital Medicine Sechenov Medical University launched in 2018. Since the start of enrollment in September of that year, the university planned to graduate up to 15 people annually for each specialty.[1]

This work is carried out as part of the implementation of the national project "Digital Economy of Russia." In the future, all institutions will be included in a single digital health care circuit. Lectures and practical classes for students of the 6th year of the pediatric faculty of PIMU started on April 15, 2021. Students began to explain the standards for the exchange of medical data, showed the organization of automated workplaces on the example of "BARS. Healthcare - MIS," a scheme for working with electronic medical records, electronic prescriptions and disability certificates.
We are actively introducing methods for training medical personnel, one of which is the involvement of large companies in the field of digitalization in training. 2019: BARS Group and Volga Research Medical University combine their competencies
BARS Group, a subsidiary of the National Center for Informatization, signed an agreement with the Volga Research Medical University (PIMU) within the framework of the Digital Industry of Industrial Russia (TsIPR-2019) conference to exchange expertise in the medical field and jointly organize the educational process.
PIMU and BARS Group intend to include lectures on working in medical information systems BARS. Healthcare in the training program, as well as to increase the level of education by introducing innovative technologies into the educational process.
