Zeronix provides services for waste collection and disposal, sorting and recycling. To process organic matter, the company grows black lion's fly larvae. These larvae feed on food waste and process it into humus, a natural fertilizer, and the larvae themselves are sold as a food additive.
Another area of Zeronix's activity is the processing of composite paper, from which, for example, coffee cups and packaging are made, into secondary raw materials (due to dry dissolution into polyaluminum and cellulose, which are then used to make paper, cardboard, pipes, plaster and other building mixtures).
By early July 2022, the startup is also developing technologies for processing construction waste - for example, it is working on the possibility of producing pallets of compressed wood waste. From the fragments of brick and concrete slabs you can make curbs, urns, flower beds, noted in Zeronix.

PIK Group bought Zeronix
In early July 2022, it became known about the sale of Zeronix to the PIK group. The latter made a deal through a subsidiary of PIK-Innovation, which became the owner of 95% of the startup.
According to RBC, Ilya Balandin, head of the venture capital investment department and member of the PIK board of directors, was appointed to the post of CEO of Zeronix in April 2022.
The publication writes that of all Zeronix's services, the processing of construction waste, of which about 70 million tons are generated annually in Russia, can become the type of activity closest to the main business area of the PIK group. In addition to housing construction, the group is actively involved in renovation projects in Moscow, namely, during the demolition of buildings, a significant part of such waste is formed.
Almost 80% of construction waste is not recycled by July 2022. But by 2035, the authorities intend to reduce the volume of their burial at landfills to almost zero and increase the share of waste use in the production of building materials from 1 to 10%, RBC reports with reference to the draft strategy for the development of the building materials industry.[1]
